A Colorado Summer

This summer, fresh out of college with my bachelor's degree, I took a position with the Nature Conservancy in Colorado. The internship is on a 100,000 acre cattle and bison ranch located in the San Luis Valley. The ranch is nestled between the mountains and only 15 minutes from the Sand Dunes here. It should be an interesting summer before I head off to California in search of permanent employment. Stay tuned....

A fantastic week with Brian (Part 1)


Brian flew in for a week (Thank you Daddy!) and we had a great time. We went hiking up to the top peak of the Sand Dunes. We got caught in the rain on mile 2 of an 8 mile hike and finished it out in the rain, cold but happy! We played horseshoes (still need a tie breaker game to determine the champ!) and we marveled at the history behind a 300 year old skeleton found here on the ranch! Then we headed to Boulder and Denver........
