A Colorado Summer

This summer, fresh out of college with my bachelor's degree, I took a position with the Nature Conservancy in Colorado. The internship is on a 100,000 acre cattle and bison ranch located in the San Luis Valley. The ranch is nestled between the mountains and only 15 minutes from the Sand Dunes here. It should be an interesting summer before I head off to California in search of permanent employment. Stay tuned....

the top photo is a psych out because it looks like it's going to be a giant bear on top of a mountain or something, then i zoomed in on it and it's just a little guy on a rock.

btw: why are you photographing moths--is it a moth?

Yes, it is a moth and it is huge and also creepy because it looks like a skeleton outside but is really alive. sorry though. I didn't realize i had such a critic among my blog fans! I will try to do better!
